Listed price is per 1-1/2 LBS of stuffed gullet tubes. There are approx 14-17 pcs per 1-1/2 lbs. Each piece is approx 5" long and 1-2" in diameter. There are 2 different fillings. One is ground dried green tripe, the other is a mixture of ground bully sticks and dried gullet. You will receive a mix of both. The gullet shell is hard and leathery; the stuffing is soft and very crumbly (so best to feed outside, on a towel, or on an easily cleanable surface). These treats may have a mild odor.
What are Gullets?
Gullets come from the esophagus of cattle. They are mostly cartilage and are a natural source of chondroitin sulfate, which contributes to the strength, flexibility, and shock absorption of the joints.
What are Moo Tubes?
Moo tubes are the dehydrated trachea (windpipe) of a cow. Bovine trachea is mostly cartilage and is a natural source of glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate, which are commonly used to treat arthritis and to help maintain and rejuvenate healthy joints and connective tissue.
What is Green Tripe?
Green tripe is one of the best natural treats you could offer your dog. As unappetizing as it sounds,
green tripe is the unprocessed lining and intestines of a cow. The partially digested food the cow
has consumed is retained and is rich in essential fatty acids and natural stomach juices.
The benefits of natural green tripe include:
* Improves skin and coat
* Helps with cleaning of teeth
* Live digestive enzymes which aid in utilizing the food
* Rich in amino acids which aid in muscular development
* Contains probiotics, the beneficial intestinal bacteria which is said to strengthen the immune
system
